New Missionaries from Grace
Through short-term trips, discipleship or local evangelism efforts individuals may feel that they are being called to missions as a life-calling. Realistically, these events are simply serving as grounding for the call God has already imparted. Understanding what this call means and requires can be a difficult conversation. To help new missionaries we ask, that in addition to the requirements of their mission agency, that they:
1) Have specifically identified mentors for both spiritual growth and maturity as well as for mission strategy and planning
2) Participate in mission’s introduction training. All mission agencies provide some level of training for missionaries. Many times it is inadequate and additional training is needed.
